Let's Talk About Sex! And "Morgasm".
The independent pitch that I think will have the most success is Morgan Kornfeind's "Morgasm". An outlet that focuses on sexual health, relationships and intimacy is extremely needed, especially in this particular moment. In a society that has such twisted ideas of constent, an outlet that emphasizes sexual education is vital, for both men and women. Additonally, with hook up culture in college, young people have convoluted ideas of healthy relationships. If Morgasm became widespread, it could really help change how people view these two specific issues that I think need to be addressed.
Additonally, I believe that the sexual education aspect of Morgasm is really what would catapult the company into success. If the sex ed teachers traveling the country would have the enthusiasm of the creator herself, it could create cohorts of young people that approach sex and relationships with lots of knowledge and a healthy outlook. Keeping with the company's mission, the openness of talking about sex could easily attract all kinds of people who are looking to break taboos. Everyone is affected about sex, love, or relationships, therefore I think this outlet is accessible and available to nearly everyone. Additonally, I think that Morgasm could easily get adequate funding from sexual health and women's rights groups because an outlet like this is absoutely necessary.
